Shopping Genie, Legitimate Or Not?

You may have seen My Shopping Genie receiving a lot of exposure recently, it is pretty new on the scene but has also been opened up to various negative reports.

My Shopping Genie is run by MyNet Universe and is well endorsed by the online giants E-bay, Amazon & Clickbank, this should be putting your mind at rest for a start. As mentioned before the Genie software is free to use and when you are shopping online it will hunt out the best deals for you and show them up in your browser.

A couple of weeks back an investigation was carried out on the Genies 'business opportunity' by an Irish television programme called Prime Time. As far as they are concerned the My Shopping Genie biz op is a scam, they are stating that its just a pyramid scheme with no products and people only getting paid for introducing others.

As far as the 'product' goes, when you pay your $199 to join the business opportunity you are paying for a license to give away free My Shopping Genie software and to enrol others into the opportunity. You also have to pay around $30 a month for the back office fees. The Genie founder Bruce Bise is 100% confident that the opportunity is legitimate and he loses no sleep at night.

Every 2 licenses you sell for the Genie will earn you $100. To be honest its probably this part if the business which started the negative press about the Genie, the fact that you are being compensated for bringing others into the business.

As a license holder you are able to earn an income from the use of the Genie software itself. Those people who have downloaded My Shopping Genie through your link will most likely start using the software when shopping online. Well you are going to earn from clicks, view and sales made. This is some seriously easy money, and it can grow very big!

Complaints seem to be part and parcel of the home based business industry, is there any company out there which hasn't been slated by someone at some point? With such a wide variety of people getting involved it's only natural, there are those who just don't like to see others succeed, perhaps because they have tried and failed themselves. Or in some cases there could be genuine reasons for getting the hump with a company or opportunity. When assessing any opportunity its best just to concentrate in the facts and find out if there is any legitimate reason for negativity.

The BBB (Better Business Bureau) is a good place to find out if there have been any complaints about a particular company. MyNet Universe (the parent company of the Genie) gets a B+ rating which is pretty good. Total record of complaints registered is 0 in the last 36 months. The only negative event registered is a warning for some of their advertising material, which contained the word 'free'.

Look, you will really have to make your own decision about the My Shopping Genie scam reports that are flying around. Some people just HATE network marketing and others HATE success and will do what they can to bring everyone else down to their level.

Whether or not the Genie is out to scam you will hinge on your own individual feelings about MLM in general. The only thing I will say is that it would be in my 'weaker' opportunity list because of the lack of tangible products. You also need to remember that a large amount of the bad press that MLM has received over the years is mostly due to unscrupulous marketers making unethical and hyped up claims of easy wealth.

Overall the Shopping Genie seems to be a good business plan, with some potential for some very nice residual income.

There are already people making some good money with the Genie, these people are using simple strategies to generate massive amounts of leads to their business and they understand the principles of effective marketing.
